Special Complementary Colors explores how saturated pigments and contrasting yarn systems can redefine the perception of a textile surface. Inspired by the chromatic intensity of Yves Klein, deep blue is treated as a structural element rather than decoration. Recycled SEAQUAL® yarns are combined with post-production rubber, reflective fibres and PES qualities to create shifting relationships between colour, texture and light. AE Studios translated these contrasts into a coherent material world with relevance across interiors, mobility and future product applications.
